PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

We award two (2) scholarships for each of the following meetings: SGNA National Education in May, DelMarVa in spring, VGS/ODSGNA meeting in September. We also award two (2) scholarships for certification examination. These scholarships are for the registration only. Scholarship for National Course in May is for $750 and can be used in any manner. The application for National meeting needs to be in sixty (60) days prior to meeting so that early bird rate may be used. If after that date, you will receive the early bird rate only. Applications for the other two (2) meetings need to be submitted thirty (30) days prior to meeting. The recipient of the scholarships are required to submit an article for the newsletter relating to their experience at the meeting and how they plan to use that information. The scholarship for certification is for the amount to take the examination. The application can be downloaded from the website and mailed to Margie Danner-Roth.  Her address is on the generated application. We will not honor any application unless mailed directly to Margie.

SGNA Membership Dues Scholarship
 
SGNA has established the SGNA MEMBERSHIP DUES SCHOLARSHIP to financially assist SGNA members with their annual membership dues.  The grants of $85-95 are awarded each year to members who meet the established criteria.  The number of grants awarded depends upon funds available.  The deadline for 2011 dues submission is October 1, 2010.  For application and more information, visit www.sgna.org/Education/scholarships.cfm.
